Ducey: No State Troops Terrorizing Our Communities
We demand Governor Doug Ducey reject Trump's plan to put the military on our streets and terror in our communities. Stand with immigrants and tell Governor Doug Ducey to stop the Arizona National Guard from joining Donald Trump’s Deportation Force.
Why is this important?
President Trump is considering a proposal to mobilize as many as 100,000 National Guard troops to round up immigrants, according to a draft memo recently obtained by The Associated Press. This will mean military checkpoints in our neighborhoods and armed soldiers raiding business, schools, and churches. In order to make this dangerous plan a reality, all Trump will need is Governor Doug Ducey to issue the order to the Arizona National Guard.
We know more law enforcement and more criminalizing laws will never make our communities safer. Filling the streets with thousands more troops and raiding our communities destroys families, devastates neighborhoods, and erodes strong and healthy cities and towns.
Tell Governor Ducey we demand better for all people who live in Arizona. Stand with immigrants and stop the Arizona National Guard from joining Trump's deportation force.
