Call to Get Border Patrol Out of My Mom's Hospital Room at the Univ. of Arizona Medical Center

Call Tucson Border Patrol at (520) 748-3000 right now.

When I found out my mom had been rushed to University of Arizona hospital for emergency surgery, my whole family sped to be there. But when we arrived, we were told that we weren't allowed to see her and staff pointed to a Border Patrol agent stationed in the waiting room.

My mom is being detained and her hospital room is being used as a cell.

I'm 27, my youngest brother is just 11. My mom has called the US home since 1985. It's where she's raised all of us, has seen us through school, and made our family a strong one.

Our whole family is here trying to see her and make sure she's ok but Border Patrol says they'll deport her immediately after her surgery whether she's healed or not.

Please call Tucson Border Patrol at (520) 748-3000 and tell them:

"I'm calling out of concern for Estefania Calderon who is currently at the University Medical Center. She is a mother of five and has lived in the US for more than twenty years. Hospitals should be safe spaces for healing not to be used as a jail for the injured. Will you remove your agent and leave her alone?"

My cousin is Viridiana Hernandez. She's the director of Center for Neighborhood Leadership in Phoenix and says we can organize. Please help us keep our family together. Please make a call.
