Why is this important?
Jose Del Cid Quinteros: "My home country has been a foreign memory in my brain, as everything I've built up to this point has been in America. Despite this, America has never felt like home, and neither has El Salvador.
From a detention cell in Virginia to a cell in the Northwest Detention Center in Washington. My journey has been picked out for me, and has changed my physical environment, while moving me away from my mothers and son, who are my home.
I have a longing desire to feel the warmth of my family and be able to be the father my son deserves. I want to be present in his life like before, and watch him grow up, eventually graduate, and pursue a career. My desire is to get married and buy my mother her own restaurant so she never has to work for anyone else again. I want to take care of the people I love and be able to enjoy liberty myself."
