Keep Edith Espinal, DREAM30 fighter and mother of three, with her Family

Demand Senator Rob Portman to order ICE to grant stay for Edith Espinal, immigrant reform fighter and mother of three, so she can be with her family while she advocates for permanent residency.

Why is this important?

Edith Espinal is a mother of three and long-time front-runner fighter for immigrant rights and immigration reform. She has made Columbus, Ohio her home for 22 years, living in the U.S. with her son for nine years before being placed in removal proceedings and taking voluntary departure in 2009.

A few years later in 2013, Edith protested U.S. immigration policies at the U.S.-Mexico border in Nuevo Laredo with DREAM30 and was paroled into the United States and placed in removal proceedings. Her family has been publicly involved in the struggle to pass comprehensive immigration reform on nationwide television. Edith has also been a member of the Central Ohio Worker Center. Her and her family have been on the streets fighting, marching and speaking for immigrant justice. Now, it’s time for us to show up her and her family.

ICE is tearing apart Edith’s family and her community by targeting someone who will fight for herself and her people. Sign this petition to demand that Senator Portman demands ICE grant Edith stay while she advocates for her permanent residency. Let’s show Edith she’s not alone.
