The well-known cartoonist, Lalo Alcaraz, recently found one of his cartoons on the front of a t-shirt being sold for $21.99 on Teespring.com. While this is already extremely problematic, the cartoon is part of a fundraiser whose proceeds will go to Benjamin Ramirez, a Los Angeles street vendor attacked in Hollywood earlier this month. The theft of Lalo's work is not just illegal, it's also morally repugnant.
Why is this important?
