Stop Deportation of Firefighter's Father with Congestive Heart Failure

This campaign has ended.

Cancel the deportation order of Nestor Macri, A#074-757-311

Why is this important?

Nestor, 59, came to the US with his family in 1994, and has been a resident of Greensboro since 1996, where he has worked for over 20 years as an aircraft mechanic. His son Andy has been with the Greensboro Fire Department since early 2015, and currently serves on the hazmat team.

After being detained in 2004, he was subsequently given a work permit by DHS, on the condition that he check-in with ICE every year. At this year's check-in he was ordered to leave the country by June 15, for no apparent reason - he has never faced criminal charges of any kind. Nestor has congestive heart failure, and his doctors believe he would be in danger of cardiac arrest if he could not obtain a steady supply of six specialized medications if he were to return to Brazil.

ICE should cancel his deportation order so he can continue to receive medical care here in the US, and remain with his family.
